Our TP-5 includes multiple pneumatic controls within a common valve housing. It is a combination of two check valves plus a tractor protection valve, allowing either of the two service brake circuits to be used to apply the trailer brakes.
In emergency situations such as a trailer break-away or whenever there is severe leakage of air in the air brake system, the valve serves to protect the remaining air supply.
